Biography
An alumnus of Western Apostolic Bible College, Terry R. Baughman earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and Theology in 1977 and immediately began to evangelize. Reverend Baughman was ordained by the UPCI in 1980, and in 1982 he became Assistant Pastor in Gladewater, Texas. One year later he became Pastor in the town of his birth, Canyon, Texas, where he also briefly attended West Texas State University. He resigned the pastorate in 1985 and re-entered the evangelistic field until planting a church in Peoria, Arizona in 1989. Terry continued in that position until coming to Christian Life College as College Pastor and instructor in 1994. During his ministry, he has held several district offices, including Sunday School Secretary for both the Texico (1984-1986) and Arizona (1989-1990) Districts, Arizona Home Missions Promotional Director (1989-1990), Arizona District Youth President (1990-1992), Home Missions Secretary (Arizona District, 1992-1993), and Arizona District Home Missions Director (1993-1994). Baughman earned the Master of Arts degree in Exegetical Theology from Western Seminary in 1999 at the San Jose campus. He became the Dean of Students in 1996 and Academic Dean in 2001. In 2003 he was promoted to Executive Vice-President. Since 2009 the Baughmans have served as pastor of Life Church in Gilbert, AZ. He continues to teach both on campus and through online classes.
